Credit card debt consolidations using balance transfer credit cards can be a great way of reducing credit card debt as long as you are adequately prepared. Balance transfer credit cards will often offer an interest free period on balance transfers, but this comes with many restrictions. For one, you will likely be unable to repay new charges before you repay your transferred balance. Often interest free days on purchases will not apply until the debt consolidations amount has been repaid. This means that you will need to restrict all your spending and repay within the interest free balance transfer period if balance transfer credit cards are to provide a good deal on debt consolidations.
